And while the vast majority of cancers are caused by a myriad of ineluctable factors, such as growth and inheritance, over a third of cancer deaths are attributable to multitudinous preventable causes, such as poor lifestyle choices, contraction of certain viruses, usage of tobacco and alcohol, among other factors.
