Investigating the Human Body<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The body is a complex system that works together to allow the body to function properly and efficiently. The body has an incredible ability to heal itself after breaking bones. It uses voluntary and involuntary muscles that are intertwined with nerves that connect to the brain. With the involuntary action of breathing, blood is filtered through the heart. Alongside these systems the body is able fight off diseases and work efficiently without many organs. Fifth grade students will expand their knowledge about these topics during a fifteen lesson intensive unit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
