The Role of Mission Landing in the White Settlement of the Willamette Valley of Oregon <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mission Landing, also known as St. Paul Landing, is located on the Willamette River about one mile west of the town of St. Paul in Marion County in the state of Oregon. This paper provides background on the landing and traces its role in the white settlement of the Willamette Valley. The religious, economic, social, cultural, and political impacts will be investigated along with family ties to the area. The Landing has been in the author\u2019s family since 1870. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
