Dystopian fiction has been a powerful genre for stories such as \u201cThose Who Walk Away From Omelas\u201d and \u201cThe Lottery,\u201d which explore troubling yet plausible worlds. In my work, \u201cThe Electric Chair,\u201d I examine memory through the genre of dystopian fiction. I will discuss how I use memoy as a key storytelling mechanic by telling the story backwards through flashbacks.
