Comparing the effects of different classes of medication in the management of hypertension <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The diagnosis of hypertension is common\n and treatment is frequently viewed as very simple. Treating \nhypertension takes more than just lowering the blood pressure of an \nindividual. There are comorbidities that affect and are affected by the \ntreatment of hypertension: kidney disease and cardiovascular disease. In\n this review we discuss the different preferences of using either \nAngiotensin Converting Enzyme (ACE) inhibitors, Calcium Channel \nblockers, Beta Blockers, and Diuretics when managing hypertension with \nthe use of medications. It appears that Angiotensin Converting Enzyme \n(ACE) inhibitors were preferential to the management of kidney disease \nsecondary to hypertension. Calcium channel blockers were additionally \nfound to have an advantage with many cardiovascular diseases while beta \nblockers were also considered for cardiovascular issues including atrial\n fibrillation and tachycardia specifically. Beta blockers and Diuretics \nhad minute differences in secondary management of cardiovascular disease\n and kidney disease when compared. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
