Writing in Kindergarten
My Work Sample this year focused on Writing at the Kindergarten level. This subject interested me because students at this age are just beginning the process of writing. It was just that, a process. It was thrilling to see these students start with no skills & knowledge & develop their minds to forming sentences & producing words. Each student wrote a short story with all of the elements. The creativity involved with students five or six years was astounding. This unit was not a pre-planned curriculum.
