Kindergarten Health and Safety

Creating a themed unit to teach in class involves lesson planning, self-reflection, observation, formulation of assessment and management strategies, and much more. This health and safety kindergarten work sample of 15 lessons is a collection of these instructional and metacognitive strategies that demonstrate the performance of both the students and the teacher.

Minor Work Sample—Grammar

As a part of the student teaching program of NCU, I created a work sample of twelve lessons that I taught to a fifth grade class. These lessons were part of one grammar unit that introduced conjunctions and compound and complex sentences to the students. Along with each lesson plan and the materials required, my work sample also includes assessments of the students, the standards to be met by the students in each lesson, important information about the school environment, and several pieces of reflection on my own teaching experiences during the work sample.
