Beyond Labels: Excavating Identity and Culture at Bushnell University

This interactive exhibit explores identity and belonging within the Bushnell University community through student-led cultural excavation. Inspired by Dr. Paul Metzger’s talk on insignia, impulse, iPhones, and industry, students interviewed key stakeholder groups—athletes, commuters, faculty/staff, and administrators—and created artifacts reflecting their findings. The exhibit features a bookshelf display of these artifacts with explanatory paragraphs, a polaroid photo collage, statistical data, and a short film compiling voices from the campus. This Living Cultural Museum invites viewers to consider what it means to be seen beyond labels and to celebrate the richness of our shared identity.

I will work to shine light on the value of compound interest when flipped in your favor. Further, I will discuss the value of the ability to sleep easy at night, debt-free that seems to have lost importance in many minds.

Final Research Project

We as a group are developing a business idea that represents a form of holistic mission to serve others. Our business that we are developing is a private school for students that focuses on career paths and more opportunity for what the student wants to learn. Along with that we intend to incorporate Christian values and teachings as well.

Haus & Garten product presentation

We worked side by side with the owners of Haus &Garten to help develop a new product line and advertisement for their company. We did extensive research into their business as well as their competitors to look into what works and what doesn’t. We were consistently in touch with one another asking questions and figuring out new advertising strategies.
