Kindergarten Reading

This project will evaluate how well students can recognize the letter names & the letter sounds of the alphabet. This evaluation serves as an Pre & Post test for students. Students will have 24 letter names; both lowercase & uppercase & 24 letter sounds; both lowercase & uppercase to identify. Students will also be tested on 8 sight words. This will bring the assessment to a total of 32 points. Three different levels of students will be evaluated based on a specific performance task.

Effective Transitions in the Classroom

This presentation explains how to effectively use transitions to manage the classroom. The three transitions that will be discussed include music transitions, verbal cues and visual cues. Our conclusion is that more than one mode of signaling a transition is most effective.
