The use of Cluster Criticism to analyze the song ‘Let it go’ which was written & composed by Kristen Anderson-Lopez & her husband Robert Lopez. Sung by Idina Menzel for the Disney Motion Picture, Frozen released in November, 2013. This will be done by identifying key terms within the song, & specific elements woven within or near them, to discover more about the character. Airway Malacia
Airway malacia is a physiological disorder that most commonly effects infants & children. Malacia of the trachea, bronchi, & larynx involves softening of the cartilages that play an important role in structure & function. Typically, airway malacia disappears on its own as the cartilage hardens overtime. During the malacia, however, respiration & sometimes digestion can be negatively affected & special considerations & actions must be taken. Using multiple, credible sources, including websites, journals, articles & a college course textbook, we can take a look at what is involved medically, physiologically, & religiously in with airway malacia.

The College Students’ Car Buying Experience
The majority of the population remembered the degrading feeling of purchasing their first automobile & probably spent hours online looking for a reasonably priced cars that weren’t completely outdated, or test drove a lot of poor quality cars that before finding the one.
Through a brief survey to NCU students who have been through the experience of buying their first car, the results will reveal what brand, color, & year of car are most popular. The ideal results will highlight the aspects that students think are the most important when deciding what car to buy.

Writing in Kindergarten
My Work Sample this year focused on Writing at the Kindergarten level. This subject interested me because students at this age are just beginning the process of writing. It was just that, a process. It was thrilling to see these students start with no skills & knowledge & develop their minds to forming sentences & producing words. Each student wrote a short story with all of the elements. The creativity involved with students five or six years was astounding. This unit was not a pre-planned curriculum.

The Power of Baby Sign Language
The benefits of teaching infants to sign includes improved spatial reasoning & executive function, reduction of stress in the parent-child relationship, a calmer academic environment that creates harmony & a universal language in the classroom, enhancing a child’s innate ability to gesture as a form of communication, promote better relations with daycare providers, improve the quality of life of families in stressful low socioeconomic circumstances, & assisting developmentally, physically, &/or medically delayed children who struggle with language & communication to ameliorate their circumstances. Baby boosts language acquisition & learning & increases a child’s confidence that their needs will be met.

The Use of Minor Versus Major Caliber Pistols During United States Practical shooting Association Competition
In United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA) competitions, each competitor has to choose whether to engage a minor or major caliber firearm in the contest. While a minor caliber gun will give the shooter the advantage of superior handling, the USPSA imposes more stringent point penalties for someone using a minor caliber than for someone using major caliber pistol. This paper analyses whether the minor or major caliber user will have the competitive edge by comparing the data collected from four competitors completing multiple standardized USPSA classifiers.

Relational Motivation
Relationships influence our lives; how we use those influences as motivation towards a goal is referred to as relational motivation. Research on relational motivation shows that motivations are increased when there are clear goals & a strong positive relationship. Relationships influence goal attainment by providing a support system. Research has shown that relationships motivate. Autonomy plays a big role in motivation. If autonomy is taken away, so is motivation. Understanding how relationships motivate adolescents could lead to better futures.

The Engagement of Students & their Success in School
Engagement in school is something that not many students view as important to their success in their classes. Recently, researchers have begun using a three-component model that includes relational, cognitive & behavioral engagement. It is important to look at all three of these components carefully to gain a better understanding of their effect on a student’s success. To test the hypothesis that higher GPA is correlated with higher engagement throughout all three areas of engagement in school, an Analysis of Variance will be used.

Cognitive Dissonance in the LGBT Christian
When faced with the tension that arises out of the conflict between the church & society on the issue of homosexuality, the homosexual Christian is faced with a proverbial dead-man’s land not only outwardly, but internally. This internal conflict between one’s sexuality & religious beliefs is operationally explored through the theory of cognitive dissonance which states that when at least two cognitions are seemingly counterintuitive, there is a drive to resolve the dissonance between them. Resolution strategies include leaving the church permanently, finding one that is accepting, or choosing to live with the dissonance. Effective Therapeutic Treatments for Incarcerated Juveniles
Recidivism rates in juvenile offenders warrant a reevaluation by professionals of current rehabilitation. It was reported that there were approximately 61,000 incarcerated juveniles in the last census. Therapeutic measures are administered in correctional facilities to promote mental well-being among juveniles. To reduce recidivism, the population of juvenile offenders is addressed to evaluate three commonly used therapies: Family-Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, & Multi-systemic Therapy. Educational success & vocational training are two preventative measures that decrease the likelihood of engaging in criminal behavior. Current research shows that multi-systemic therapy is the most effective treatment for reducing recidivism. Arteriovenous Malformation
Arteriovenous malformation, or AVM, is a physiological disorder affecting the connection between the arteries and veins. Instead of arteries connecting first to capillaries and then to veins, the arteries connect directly to the veins. This creates a weaker connection and is capable of hemorrhaging which can put a person’s life in danger. Detection of an AVM requires an MRI scan and treatments vary, but can include radiation and surgery. A Christian response to this disorder would be to treat the affected person with kindness, and providing amenities that would make it easier to be in public environments.

Dance, Faith, & Grade Point Average
Dancers are pushed to experience multiple disciplines. At Hosanna Dance Studio a great deal of the higher dancers (age 12-18) are taking every possible class in their level. Curious about how this affects their academic performance, this study began as an attempt to show the positive correlation between the number of dance classes an individual takes and their GPA. Because Hosanna is a Christian dance studio there is a level of church participation that needed to be included in the study. A survey was conducted to assess the overall time spent with schoolwork, dance, and church related activities.

These words are based on a test called the Boehm Concept Language Test. Within the test students must mark pictures that describe the statement connected to the pictures. I took this test & broke apart the words into different lessons so that the students could get practice on the words that they may not know. To teach these words the unit will incorporate Language Art standards as well as Speaking & Listening standards. There are more content areas covered, however, the majority of the Unit focuses on these content areas. The main goal of this unit is to not only to further their understanding of the words but to also help them succeed on the Boehm Concept Lang.

Classroom Management: Success by Organization
This research project focuses on the importance of organization by a classroom teacher, & how it affects his or her students’ learning outcomes. Room organization, structure & layout, & teacher preparedness in lessons & management are keys to success for a teacher running an efficient learning environment. These aspects of classroom management can make a teacher’s daily routine easier, more effective, & create more time for learning. Based upon research, potential management strategies will be shared, with organization in consideration. Research done by educators including Fred Jones, Jack Snowman, Debbie Diller, Randy Sprick, David Sadker, & Harry Wong.
